Background and Education
Brad was born and raised in Wisconsin. He graduated from Princeton High School. He studied Education at the University of Wisconsin and graduated with honors with both a B.S in Education and M.S in Educational Psychology. He currently is a certified National and Texas Realtors Instructor. Brad is surrounded by his amazing wife, five energetic children, and two adorable grandkids.Military CareerSgt. Tiegs served our country as a Marine from 1997-2002. He specialized in Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment or TMDE. This is a critical aspect of mission accomplishment. Brad was responsible for ensuring the electronic systems such as target acquisition and force trackers were performing at optimal capacity. He also has experience in personnel, operations, and logistic systems. Sgt Tiegs is recognized with numerous awards for course(s) honor graduate, exemplary achievement and meritorious service. He was stationed in Camp Pendleton, Okinawa, Yuma, and Biloxi.
Business and Entrepreneurship
Brad began is career as an Educator. He was an American History Teacher and High School Football Coach For 14 years in Wylie ISD and Garland ISD. He held the position of History Department Chair and AVID coordinator for the majority of that time, while earning Teacher of the Year on numerous occasions. He left education in 2016 to join his wife in Real Estate. He since has become a Real Estate Broker and Owner of Veterans Benefit Realty Group. He is the Vice President of a Commercial Real Estate Investment Company and the Owner of a successful renovation company specializing in revitalizing east Texas small towns.
Community
Brad also gives back to his community. He is an executive board member for the Undaunted Warhorse Initiative, a Not for Profit assisting under-served veterans with a hand up for verification status and entitlements, housing, and employment opportunities and education in varying industries. He has serves on the City of Lavon as a commissioner to Planning and Zoning Board. He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and Board Member of DFW Veterans Chamber of Commerce. Brad is also active in his home church, supporting his local community, and school district.
